Combining Style And Functionality In Mens Reading Glasses

When looking for mens reading glasses, there are two things to consider: the look and the functionality, or they can a big factor in the look that you are trying to achieve. It can be easy or difficult to choose the right pair if you are not sure to go with style or functionality. Luckily finding attractive glasses is much easier than it has ever been before.

You need to first look at the colors available to you. If you have silver or white hair, you’re looking for pewter, silver or rimless mens reading glasses. As your hair turns white, your skin tends to follow suit, becoming paler. Choosing those glasses can give you an elegant air. If you happen to have medium to light hair, you’re looking for light colored ones, which will give you an intellectual air. Dark haired people should go for black or dark brown frames which will help accent their natural hair color and facial features.

After the colors are done, you should make sure that those glasses match the shape of your face. Oval shaped faces are easiest to buy mens reading glasses for: all you need to remember is to pick a frame that isn’t wider than the widest part of your face. Oblong faces or faces that are longer than average should be paired with frames that have a low bridge. Those with round faces should get frames that are angular and straight. Tortoise frames in particular will reduce the fullness of a round face. Square faces should look for wide frame that are slightly curved. The boldness of your jawline can seem less dominant if your glasses sit high on your face. Triangular faces should aim for glasses that have a thin rim and have their glasses sitting a little low. Large, square and bold frames are an absolute “do not do” for triangle shaped faces.

Of course, after getting your glasses you need to take care of them. Make sure that you keep your glasses from getting scratched, as it can make it harder to read. Go with a scratch resistant coating, just to be sure. Consider getting polarized lenses to protect your eyes from the sun, especially if its winter time or you spend a lot of time in the sun. Additionally, those who drive often at night should make sure to have glasses that have an anti-reflective coating so that incoming headlights don’t blind them.

Mens reading glasses are a part of life for a person with waning eyesight. There’s no reason not to look great while wearing them though. So why not take the time to look for a great pair? There is no way to regret your purchase if you carefully weigh your choices and choose the right pair.

You don’t have to be disappointed because you have to start wearing reading glasses. There are whole varieties of fashionable mens reading glasses available these days.
