With a common recipe, it is easy to make how the recipe says as well as try out a few things and see how they taste.

Waffles are simple to make and most of the ingredients can be already found in the pantry. A waffle iron is needed to complete the process. The recipe calls for a waffle iron and some vegetable oil. You will also need to have one and a half cups of milk and 3 eggs. A pinch of salt and 2 teaspoon of baking powder are also needed. One tablespoon of sugar, 4 ounces of whole wheat flour and 4 ounces of all purpose flour will complete the ingredients.

There are just a few steps to make waffles. Before doing anything, be sure to turn on the waffle iron so that is it nice and hot when the mixing is all done. This will save time later. Begin by mixing all of the dry ingredients, both types of flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, together in one bowl.

In a different bowl, mix together all of the wet ingredients. These ingredients are the eggs, the oil and the milk. Keep mixing until these have blended together well. This may take a bit to get the mixture right.

Pour the bowl with the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry mixture. Mix these together until there are no lumps. Now the batter is set to go and ready to be cooked in the waffle iron. If you want to add any additional ingredients such as fruit, cinnamon or chocolate chips, now would be the time to do so. Mix again and then cook.

With the batter ready, pour a half cup of waffle batter into the waffle iron. Close the lid and let it sit for about a minute. Check on the iron every so often until the waffle is a golden brown. This is when the waffle is done and is ready to be eaten.

This recipe will make between seven to nine waffles. This recipe can be doubled or tripled to feed as many people as you need it to. With a basic recipe such as this one, this recipe is easy to do and easy to add additional items to.
